In 2009 I created an A5 sized calendar for 2010 for my own Russian internet project ‘magnet-toys’.
Initially I had the idea of making specific handmade products, however I realised I couldn’t get enough New Year gifts for my customers. So, I decided to make a ‘quirky’ calendar of my products.
Not only did the calendar contain quirky images, but also had it own ‘unusual’ celebration days, for example ‘International Cat Day’, ‘International Day of word ‘HELLO’, ‘Pretend to be a Pirate’s Day’.
The calendar were a great success, so much so, customers were already enquiring about a new calendar for the next year!
